Bill Montwid, President
Bill has over 42 years of bank treasury, financial management and consulting experience. He formed The Stockton Financial Group, Inc. in March 1998 to help local community banks comply with interest rate risk modeling and balance sheet management required by regulatory authorities. The Stockton Financial Group currently serves 13 banks and credit unions in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

From 1994-1998, he was with Ernst & Company, a broker-dealer in New York City where he managed the community bank consulting business. Bill began providing risk management and investment advisory services to community banks in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 1991 as President of Asset/Liability Management Associates. The company was sold to Ernst in 1994.

From 1986-1991, Bill was Vice President and Corporate asset/liability planning manager at First Fidelity Bancorporation, a $29 billion bank holding company, where he developed interest rate risk measurement models, coordinated the A/L management activities for eight subsidiary banks, and presented balance sheet and risk management strategies to members of the Office of the Chairman and ALCO.

Bill also spent six years at two money center banks in New York City. As controller for the Treasury Funds Management Group at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, he was responsible for systems, management reporting and controls for all hedging activities, and managed the financial futures and interest rate swap back office operations. Bill was instrumental in developing accounting policies and valuation models for interest rate swap transactions in 1984.

He's been a guest speaker at the New Jersey Community Bankers Association and has presented ALM theory, and portfolio management to the Board of Directors of all his client banks. Bill has also made presentations to super-regional banking companies in St. Louis and Chicago looking to replicate the community bank A/L process at correspondent banks.


Matthew Kilpatrick, Vice President
Matt has over 26 years of bank accounting and financial management experience. Matt has been with Stockton Financial since 2003 and is responsible for risk modeling and client support. Prior to joining our firm, he worked for Unity Bank in the accounting and financial reporting area. Matt has a BS degree from Seton Hall University in Mathematics and Computer Science and a MS in Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology.
